Sam Burgess faces fine over NRL ‘kangaroo court’ comments

England forward Sam Burgess faces a possible good after describing the National Rugby League (NRL) judiciary process as a"kangaroo court". The South Sydney captain made the comments on Tuesday for pulling Sydney Roosters centre Billy Smith's hair on September 5, after receiving a one-match prohibit. Burgess pleaded guilty to the conduct fee which ruled him on September 13 to the Roosters. "Who's making the calls ?" Burgess explained. "Can there be a discussion prior to these forecasts go on the

The team's chief executive Todd Greenberg stated:"On face value, Sam's comments concerning the judiciary breach that our code of behavior and are offensive to the chairman and members of the panel who execute their duties impartially, without fear or favor. "We take a pragmatic view about most of the discussion that occurs around the match. "Howeverthe NRL judiciary is alongstanding and individual procedure depending on the principles of natural justice in our court system. "Our seat is an esteemed judge of the highest calibre and our board members are former high-profile gamers that are independent from nightclubs. The integrity of the machine and the folks in it should never be questioned."
