Newport County’s Ryan Inniss given five-game ban for biting
For biting, newport County defender Ryan Inniss has been handed a five-match ban by the FA.
Inniss was sent off County lost 5-4 to West Ham U21s September 4, on Wednesday and also was charged within an EFL Trophy game that.
The 6ft, on loan from Crystal Palace, was dismissed late on for the episode which included 18-year-old Hammers left-back Reece Hannam.
An FA statement :"Ryan Inniss
has admitted a breach and been suspended for his following five first-team aggressive matches by an independent Regulatory Commission.
"The standard three-match ban that would normally apply was clearly inadequate."
Speaking after the match, County manager Michael Flynn admitted he couldn't defend the loanee.
He said:"Their participant said he got humiliated, so I'll have a look at this and find out exactly what happened.
"When he has bittenhimit's inexcusable and that I won't be fighting his corner."
The 24-year-old, who has captained the reserve side of Palace and is currently away from Selhurst Park on his eponymous loan bargain, will now miss Newport's matches against Northampton, Macclesfield, Exeter, Swindon and Carlisle.
