Diamondbacks vs. Brewers MLB Pick – August 24th

The way Zac Gallen was pitching this year, I am not certain that the Marlins are ecstatic about investing him away. It was a prospect for prospect deal and the Diamondbacks were seeing immediate results. Gallen was solid with the Marlins, submitting a 2.72 ERA and seven begins. The commerce hasn't seemed to bother him as he has improved since leaving Miami. It's only been three begins as a Diamondback and Gallen was effective with a 1.80 ERA in 15 innings.
Having said that, Gallen's resume hasn't been totally sterile in his last two starts. Yes, he let just 3 earned runs in ten innings. However, a closer look suggests that he needed to work really hard to ensure potential. Gallen allowed a walk and 9 hits in 4 innings. He was lucky to have out of Coors Field with just 2 earned runs allowed.
The same thing occurred in his second outing. He gave up just 1-run in 6 innings, but got into trouble . Gallen lasted 5 hits and 6 walks, even as his hands was a bit all over the place. A young pitcher can be caught as much as by that quickly.
Gallen's competition tonight is currently coming his outing of the season from. Chase Anderson never had it since he was rocked for 9 hits and 10 earned runs. Leading up to that game, Anderson pitched nicely, with ten games without allowing more than just 3 runs in a match.
He allowed less or two years. Anderson has been quite good against the Diamondbacks in the past, as they are hitting just .214 with 1 home run enabled in 56 plate looks.
